Lunch in downtown Pittsburgh just got an upgrade!

Located inside Hotel Monaco, The Commoner is serving up something not so common and intriguing! The meals also came out in a decent amount of time, which makes for a good spot to grab food if you’re pressed for time during the work week.

My order:

• Roasted corn soup appetizer
• Iceberg Wedge Salad appetizer
• Confit Tuna Tartine with olive tapenade, caper mayo, mixed herbs, grilled
• Mac and Cheese with blue crab

Most of the lunch time meals are under $20, which is pretty good for downtown pricing. Plus, the portions are generally a decent size. I was impressed by the elevated options with seasonable ingredients, especially when lunch can be an overlooked meal during the work week.
